EXPECTED RESULTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

• Lead mining team to accomplish operational goals established by Plant Manager
• Load aggregate material onto haul trucks
• Dirt moving and/or stripping when needed
• Inspect, fuel, grease, and refill fluids on equipment as needed.
• Perform routine inspections on equipment, complete minor equipment maintenance, report safety issues.
• Utilize various hand tools as needed to complete daily job requirements
• Help maintain a hazard free work environment by assisting in housekeeping and maintenance duties
• Work with team members to complete operational priorities of the day, cross train in other job positions as needed
• Follow all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulations.
• Other duties as assignedPay Rate: $28 per hourKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESThe primary areas of responsibility include:
  • Plant Safety
  • Operating Equipment
  • Minor Equipment Maintenance REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • 3-5 yeas experience operating heavy equipment
    • Experience with excavators, dozer, blade operation, and front-end loader
    • Ability to use power tools, welders, cutting torches/chains and various safety devices
    • Self motivated and able to work effectively in small teams
    • Basic mechanical aptitude and math skills
    • Ability to work 12 hour shifts and weekends EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
      • Experience working in aggregate industry a plus
      • Experience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferred
      • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

          • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/cold temperatures and rain/snow conditions.
          • Employee constantly sits, utilizes manual dexterity, uses fine motor skills, gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near/far vision and requires active hearing/listening.
          • Employee occasionally stands, walks, climbs, crawls, kneels, bends, reaches, lifts to 50 lbs, carries up to 50 lbs, pushes and pulls.
          • Employee is regularly exposed to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smokes, gasses, fumes and aggregate materials.
