Job Description:
Position Purpose & Summary:The IT Manager is responsible for
overseeing and managing the companys information technology
infrastructure, including hardware, software, and security. This
role involves planning for future technology needs, participating
in corporate decision-making regarding technology, and implementing
new technological solutions. The IT Manager will serve as a key
liaison between clients, vendors, and consultants, ensuring that
the companys IT systems are optimized and secure.Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
- IT Systems Management: Monitor, maintain, develop, and support
all IT systems to ensure high reliability and availability.
- Leadership & Development: Provide leadership to enhance
business efficiencies through technology; research and develop new
technologies or improvements to existing systems.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and train the Systems
Administrator, conduct annual performance evaluations, and promote
professional development.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the operational IT
budget, and prepare a rolling 5-year technology vision for the
company.
- IT Security Management: Oversee IT security, including
cybersecurity, Active Directory, physical security of
infrastructure, and management of third-party software tools such
as firewalls, antivirus, and email threat protection.
- Data Integrity & Disaster Recovery: Maintain data integrity,
performance monitoring, backup systems, and disaster recovery
solutions.
- Infrastructure Management: Manage infrastructure systems
including servers, firewalls, switches, wireless networks, phone
systems, and network printing; troubleshoot and resolve issues, and
perform system upgrades.
- Environmental Monitoring: Ensure server room environmental
conditions are optimal to maintain equipment uptime.
- End-User Support: Support end-user computer systems and mobile
devices, including hardware/software installation, upgrades, and
network connectivity.
- Access Control: Approve and administer user accounts,
permissions, and access rights; conduct periodic audits to ensure
accuracy.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide technical support and
training for associates, prioritize support requests, document
technical solutions, and generate reports using the IT ticketing
system.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Establish and document IT
policies and procedures, and develop technical documentation to
support daily operations and growth.
- Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain beneficial vendor
relationships and service agreements, ensuring all licenses are
current and maintaining an inventory of licenses.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties and projects as

- Advanced network expertise, including design and operation of
switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and cloud
connectivity.
- Strong expertise in managing Microsoft Windows servers and
Active Directory.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
- Solid understanding of industry security best practices.
- Experience in systems administration, including system
maintenance, updates, and security access.
- Advanced Microsoft Software Skills (Office 365, Outlook, Teams,
SharePoint).
- Familiarity with Dynamics Great Plains, Dynamics Business
Central, and Power BI is a plus.
- Adaptability to change, effective communication skills, and
strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, with a strong
attention to detail.Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Establish and communicate goals, objectives, and performance
standards for the team.
- Track and document associate performance, promote professional
development, and resolve conflicts as necessary.
- Motivate and develop leadership skills in team members,
delegating tasks and managing change effectively.
- Interview and select personnel as needed.Education & Training:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science.
- MCSE or MCSA certification preferred.Experience:
- 7+ years of IT systems experience.
- Strong understanding of theories, principles, and best
practices of remote users.
- SQL knowledge and skills.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products and Windows operating
system support.
- Proficiency in network administration and Azure/365
Administration.
- Strong understanding of industry security practices.If you are
