  • Job Details
  • Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
  • Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.
  • Assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized Cardiovascular procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies.
  • Perform imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients and all other individuals.
  • Practice all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to 'as low as reasonably achievable' (ALARA).
  • Produce quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and respond to their physical and emotional needs.
  • Facilitate smooth patient flow, scheduling and optimal use of equipment/resources.
  • Communicate in writing and verbally with all physicians, imaging personnel, students and hospital staff in facilitating the continuum of care.
  • Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
    • Job Requirements
    • One year imaging experience, strongly preferred.
    • Experience in invasive cardiovascular technology, preferred.
    • Cardiac diagnostic/interventional procedural experience, preferred.
      • Schedule Information
      • Ability to provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours per department and/or facility policy.
        • Additional Details
        • Floating may be required to any Centura location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or Centura-identified 'float zone'.
        • Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements in accordance with Centura policy.
