Responsibilities:
--- Assist the dentist in performing various dental procedures to ensure efficient patient care.
--- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
--- Capture pre and post-op x-rays and intraoral photos for comprehensive patient assessment.
--- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist throughout treatments to facilitate smooth workflow.
--- Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions for optimal dental health.
--- Execute basic laboratory tasks like pouring models and crafting temporary crowns to support treatment plans.
--- Maintain precise patient records and documentation to ensure accurate treatment histories.
--- Coordinate patient appointments and manage the schedule effectively for streamlined operations.
--- Place temporary and permanent restorations in teeth, shaping them to the correct contour for functional aesthetics.

Qualifications:
--- To qualify as an EDDA in Colorado Springs, CO, US, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
--- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program is required for this role.
--- Radiology certification is a must-have credential for this position.
--- EDDA/EFDA certification is preferred for applicants.
--- You must possess knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
--- Proficiency in using dental software systems like Open Dental and Dentrix is essential.
--- Familiarity with dental coding and billing processes is a key requirement.
--- A strong understanding of anatomy and oral health is necessary.
--- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this job.
