Job Description:
A company is looking for a Claims Manager to oversee the
administrative management of claims and provide strategic oversight
of medical malpractice liability claims.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze incidents and claims, serving as the initial
point of contact for affected physicians and APPs
Coordinate new claims analysis and collaborate with external
parties for defense counsel retention and medical expert
assignment
Maintain accurate claims records and provide strategic
recommendations for case management through resolution or trial
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred or paralegal certification
will be considered
Master's in nursing will also be considered
Minimum of three years of experience in a law firm or liability
insurer
Broad knowledge of legal principles and claims management
processes
Ability to work autonomously and manage daily workflow
effectively
