Job Description:
DescriptionPurpose and Scope
The Vice President of Medical Affairs is responsible for the
development and successful execution of the medical affairs
strategy, programs and deliverables, consistent and aligned with
compliant marketing strategies. This position provides clinical and
subject-matter expertise to the marketing and sales teams and
ensures the scientific integrity of all research, information, and
communication with healthcare providers and patient advocacy
groups. It is essential for this person to forge productive and
compliant partnerships with the internal product development and
commercial teams, as well as outside healthcare providers and
opinion leaders. An additional responsibility shall be the ability
to contribute to the business development process that seeks new
and innovative treatments in the therapeutic areas of interest. The
Vice President of Medical Affairs will select and hire members of
the Medical Affairs staff and provide leadership and guidance to
the team to ensure quality execution of the Medical Affairs
strategy. This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
