System One is currently seeking a Project Engineer (hybrid) on a 6+
month contract position located in Denver, CO.
Project Engineer Responsibilities: Act as a Project Lead or Project
Manager for base capital projects.
Responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle from cradle
to grave. This includes scoping and justification.
Estimating the costs associated with the project.
Developing detailed project plans.
Managing the procurement process for necessary goods and
services.
Coordinating construction activities and providing oversight.
Ensuring the project is properly commissioned and turned over to
operations.
Finalize all project activities and closing out the project.
Ensure construction activities are properly coordinated.
Keep accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
Make necessary updates to project drawings.
Involvement in accruals and forecasting to maintain the project
budget.
Handle administrative tasks related to the project.
Work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to coordinate between
different groups.
Work on projects at hydro and wind facilities, and potentially coal
and natural gas plants in Colorado.
Act as the point of contact for reliability engineers.
Learn about CapEx and plant systems to effectively manage the
projects.
Project Engineer Requirements: Cradle to grave project management
experience
5-7 years of experience managing projects from initiation to
completion, preferably in industrial facilities such as power
generation, oil and gas or petrochemical refining.
Construction project management is highly valued over software or
manufacturing project management.
Bachelors degree in mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical or
industrial engineering is required.
Experience with capital projects in industrial settings, including
power generation, oil and gas, or refining projects.
Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and
stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills to manage project documentation,
timelines, and budgets.
A valid drivers license and dependable transportation are required
for travel to various plants locations. (expenses reimbursed for
travel)
PMP certification not required but nice to have.
EIT or PE license is preferred but not required.
Duration: 6+ months (will be extended)
Location: Denver, CO, although travel to plant sites will be
required
Pay Rate: $60-65/hr
